Coach Eastman, I had the opportunity to listen to you speak at the Brayden Carr coaching clinic. I wanted to reach out and let you know that it was an absolute pleasure listening to you speak. I have been a big fan of your coaching philosophies and shared “nuggets” for the past few years… Through following you on twitter, reading your blogs and Coaching U live newsletters and watching numerous videos online, I have thoroughly appreciated your approach to coaching, your tangible and relevant teaching points, and your willingness to share.. I have used your coaching sentiments to inspire, define and mentor basketball players of many different ages…thanks for your continual efforts in sharing your knowledge of the game and coaching.
A simple thanks for the knowledge and inspiration you spread to all of us coaches/leaders trying to better ourselves and the people around us.
Love your stuff and am thankful for guys like you that desire to help is to become better coaches and even better people!
I just wanted to thank you for speaking to us at the basketball coaches clinic in Columbus. I am in the Ohio University Coaching Education Masters program, and spent the previous 7 years in Winston-Salem, NC teaching and coaching middle and high school basketball and football. So much of what you said really hit home with me, and what you said came across as so genuine and sincere, which I really appreciated. My notebook is filled with your thoughts from your experiences, and I hope to use them as I continue to grow as a young coach. Thank you again for giving a young coach like myself the hope, guidance, and inspiration to continue in a profession that I’ve grown to love.
My first call after accepting the job as Head Coach at VCU was to Kevin Eastman and Brendan Suhr to set up a couple of days to work with our new coaching staff
They do an incredible job of taking the best concepts and practices of the NBA and show you in detail how they can apply to all levels of high school and college.
Saw you speak today at the clinic at Rutgers. Phenomenal stuff. Being such a young coach I took a great deal from what you said. Thanks!
I live in Africa and from afar Kevin Eastman remains my inspiration
Love everything that Coach does, he does a better job than anyone sharing his knowledge!
The feedback has been terrific from the coaches in attendance and we as a staff benefited greatly from what you shared with us.
You were fantastic at the BCAT clinic. Thank you for your time and for sharing some of your wisdom with us What a treat to hear you speak!
You are truly one of the great teachers of the game and I couldn’t tell you how many coaches have told me today alone how much you blew them away with your coaching nuggets.
To say that I enjoyed listening to you speak would be an understatement…you have sparked a new energy within me not necessarily for basketball (I have that) but for other areas in my life…the passion that you exhibited was nothing that I have ever seen at a clinic. Thanks for your willingness to share.
Your presentation was right on, offering some great though producing concepts. And your communication style is one that easily “connects” with your audience! Your energy and passion for teaching the games ia n indicator to me why your coaching resume is loaded with success! I don’t use the word “master teacher” too often, but it certainly applies to you! Doc Rivers is a very lucky to have you as his right hand man!
As always, the speakers were outstanding and educational. It’s truly one of the highlights of my year. Thanks for enhancing our game through this professional development opportunity.
I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend the Coaching U experience you and Coach Suhr had the past 2 days. I was so pumped up when I left today… Coach, you are a great inspiration to me and I want to thank you for all you do for the game. You are truly one of my heroes and one of the greatest teachers of the game in America. These past 2 days were something I will never forget as I travel around the country trying to give back to this great game of hoops!
So much information and so many great new ideas, I couldn’t write fast enough! I wrote down 22 pages of notes…
I appreciate your personal time investment to last night’s dinner event. I received many unsolicited comments recognizing the value, messaging and stores, and positive takeaways from your talk.
You are definitely leaving your legacy by affecting all that you come into contact with and I wanted to take a moment to thank you and praise you for everything that you do. You are much more than a coach…you are a leader, role model, and mentor to many people.
Wanted you to know the sustainability of your messaging from the beginning of our fiscal year. We’ve adopted the “100% in” as our official area mantra, and it headlines quarterly area messaging. Just reviewed the Celtics Laws a couple of weeks ago. Really great year and your messaging has truly helped us pull it together.
I want to thank you so much for an absolutely fantastic presentation. I think in the six years we have done this I have never come out at the end of the allotted time and had the speaker continue. Your presentation was exactly what we were looking for.
Kevin, you always do an incredible job because you are so open, honest and so willing to share. Thought your message was extremely powerful and I learned so much. Some great things to share with our team.
Kevin has perfected the individual workout…he was brought in to work with a team my son was on. I was watching him and I thought, “Damn, this guy is good. He should be working for the Celtics…”
In my 30 years of experience in the basketball coaching world, in U.S. and abroad, Kevin Eastman is one of the best player development coaches and teachers of the fundamentals I have ever met.
Kevin, thanks again. Your message was right on target. You made me look real good! I am also involved in training on the national level with our Federal Probation Association. I will keep your name in mind when my colleagues ask me if I know any good speakers.
