Work Ethic Rewarded
I read an article on Josh Pastner, the recently named Head Coach at Memphis. I’m always curious as to how coaches move up the ladder. What did they do to gain the recognition and reputation to be considered? How hard did they work? How immersed are they in learning the game?
The article gives you a great look into Josh’s makeup and how he has built his reputation. A few of the important things from the article that struck me: (1) it takes a tremendous amount of hard work to even be given a break, let alone get a job and (2) you never know when that opportunity will come, so you better have spent quality time preparing.
I will let the article serve as the blog post for today. I think those who are looking to move up in the profession can learn a lot from reading it!
