Thanks to everyone who made Coaching U LIVE 2009 a success! Coaching U LIVE 2010 will be held Tuesday and Wednessday, July 20 and 21, 2010 in Las Vegas (subject to any late changes in NCAA recruiting calendar) Details will be posted here in February 2010.

This basketball coaching event, held just before the second recruiting period, will be run like a clinic except that Coaching U LIVE will be a higher intensity, no-nonsense, basketball-only format. We want this experience to be so basketball intense that you have to work hard to keep up with all the information!

Day 1:  Many coaches have told us they have been to too many clinics over the years where you get a lot of stories and a lot of jokes but very little true basketball information. We promise to give you some great basketball “stuff”! We will devote ample time to each topic so that we can go deeper into the intricacies, teaching points, drills, and terminology. We want to provide real substance and not just scratch the surface of each topic.

As a bonus, we will have an “overtime period” at the conclusion of the program the first night. This is a session that is open for any coach to ask any question about any topic: from X & O’s, to pre game talks, to motivational techniques and any other topic that is important. There is no time limit on this. Kevin and Brendan love the game so much they will stay until the hotel kicks us out!

Day 2: This will be a unique, 4-hour plus session on the floor. Brendan Suhr will rely on his 28 years in the NBA to give you the best NBA plays out there — plays that can get your best player a shot or specific plays for a point guard, a wing, or a big. Then Kevin Eastman will give you a live look at his High Intensity Skill Development Program giving you teaching points, terminology, position drills, and the very best competitive shooting drills he has used with the best High School, College, and NBA players.

Kevin and Brendan will start the morning session with their “first bus” segment. In the NBA there is a “first bus” and a “second bus” each game night. The first bus is for those players who want to get to the arena early and work on their game. We want to give you a “first bus” opportunity to get to the gym early and work on your career. In this session they will be talking about strategies you can use to move up in the profession. You will not want to miss this session!
