This basketball coaching event, held just before the second recruiting period, will be run like a clinic except that Coaching U LIVE will be a higher intensity, no-nonsense, basketball-only format. We want this experience to be so basketball intense that you have to work hard to keep up with all the information!

Day 1
Many coaches have told us they have been to too many clinics over the years where you get a lot of stories and a lot of jokes but very little true basketball information. We promise to give you some great basketball “stuff”! We will devote ample time to each topic so that we can go deeper into the intricacies, teaching points, drills, and terminology. We want to provide real substance and not just scratch the surface of each topic.

As a bonus, we will have an “overtime period” at the conclusion of the program the first night. This is a session that is open for any coach to ask any question about any topic: from X & O’s, to pre- game talks, to motivational techniques and any other topic that is important to you. There is no time limit on this. Kevin, Brendan, and our NBA coaches love the game so much they will stay until the hotel kicks us out!

Day 2:

This will be a full day of non-stop basketball information. We’ll start with our “early bus” session that we have taken from our years in the NBA. The early bus is for those players who want to get in the extra work. In our case, it’s for those hungry coaches who want more information that can help them, their players, and their teams. This year’s early bus topic will be “Coaching lessons learned from years of reading, observing, and studying the game and its leaders.” After the early bus, we will go into a full day with visiting NBA coaches sharing things from the NBA level that can translate to every other level of basketball as well. We will also have Spencer Wood, an industry leader in the field of helping players perform under pressure. We had an opportunity to hear him speak at a coaching seminar and we felt that every coach should have a chance to hear his presentation! Spencer has worked with Top 20 college programs as well as NBA teams.
